Born on April 3rd, 1990, in the Umalazi BB section, Khaya was the fifth of six children in his household.

His parents are Mr Reggie Dladla, who has since passed away, and Thandi Dladla, from the Umlazi G section.

Khaya’s career in acting began at Isipingo Hills Primary School, where his parents enrolled him in ballet classes to keep their hyperactive son busy.

Despite being the only boy in the class, Khaya excelled at ballet and had already landed a performance gig by the time he was eight years old. He continued to perform throughout his life, and his passion for the arts only grew stronger.
